“Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere. They’re in each other all along.” -Rumi
We met while attending Pre-College at Hampton University. When we first met, neither of us liked each other. Zach didn’t like Bri because she thought she was cooler than him, and Bri didn’t like Zach because he thought he was too cool. Somehow, we still ended up fostering a special friendship based in our genuine comfort and connection with each other.
We forged a strong bond, hanging around campus, watching movies, listening to music, partying, arguing, reminiscing about our pasts and dreaming about our futures. We shared emotions, inside jokes, secrets, and major life moments (our favorite being first time voters for President Barack Obama together), but most importantly we shared the same unspoken code.
After many years of fondness, we put our ‘cool’ to the side and finally made our situationship an official relationship. Our love journey has gone through high highs and low lows, but we always find our way back to the middle. The love we share is a gift; it's invigorating, it's spine tingling, it's soul felt, and it’s sacred. We are grateful.

“Love takes off masks that we fear we cannot live without and know we cannot live within.”
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.”
“I’m about seeing long-term, seeing a vision, understanding nothing really worthwhile happens overnight, and just sticking to your script long enough to make something real happen. ”
“Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain.” - Proverbs 31:10-12
